Movie Review and a personal story. We moved from Hawaii to Los Angeles when I was 16 and I was a dope smoking, long hair, wild hippy. I had heard about this Jesus freak named Chuck Smith who hit the streets inviting every hippy he could to come his church, it was called a Jesus Revolution and that’s the story and the name of the movie opening today, Jesus Revolution starring Kelsey Grammer as Chuck Smith. I was there, I lived it and love the movie. Chuck Smith started the Calvary Church (PG-13) – (2 Hours) – (4 Stars). … And as I mentioned earlier this week, Cocaine Bear is here and roaring (4 Stars).
TV News: I hear Woody Harrelson is going to be fabulous as host on Saturday Night Live this Saturday! Woody was involved in some of the writing and has been rehearsing all week. One funny part of his monologue, making confessions like him admitting Ben Affleck and Matt Damon both use his weed guy. As you know, I spent three years traveling with the Dodgers and with Spring Training starting this weekend, let’s talk about some huge new rules that have been added. #1 Pitchers are allowed a maximum of 15 seconds to pitch, #2 No infield switch allowed, #3 Pitchers allowed only two pick-off attempts, and finally, and I don’t get it, #4 The bases have been enlarged from 15 to 18 inches. They say that will keep players from injuries, and encourage stolen bases.
