Report for Friday, Feb 3rd

Movie Review Friday: 80 For Brady with Lily Tomlin, Jane Fonda, Rita Moreno, Sally Field and Tom Brady is loosely based on a true story about four elderly Brady fans who go to the Super Bowl. I’m sorry, there are some really great movies playing out there, however this isn’t one! It’ll put a smile on your face and a couple giggles but that’s about it and Tom’s a better quarterback than actor (Rated PG-13) – (99 Minutes) – (2 ½ Stars). … Next, Knock at The Cabin, from M. Night Shamalan. A little girl and her dads take a happy vacation to a remote cabin, only to be accosted by four strangers who tie them up and tell them they have a decision to make that could save the world. It’s a strange one, and I don’t want to be a spoiler, but if you like scary, weird and confusing, this is it (Rated R) – (100 Minutes) – (3 Stars). All I can say, is, you’ll see dead people. … Next, The Amazing Maurice. A talking smart aleck cat and a bunch of street wise talking rats are off with their human friends for a wild adventure but everything backfires! A goofy story, but this one is for the kids, take the family (PG) – (90 Minutes) – (3 Stars). … And finally, The Chosen season 3 finale, well done, spiritual based (4 Stars).

Movie News: Will Smith and Martin Lawrence will start pre-production on Monday on the fourth installment of Bad Boys and Michael Bay is back as director. Production of the comedy action crime movie was scheduled to start pre-production a week after last years Oscars, but was put on hold till now because of the Will Smith slap of Chris Rock. This is the first gig Will has been offered since the slap!

Weekend TV: Check out Trafficked on Hulu, 1 season 7 episodes documentary (4 Stars). Also on Hulu is the documentary, Lisa Marie Presley: Unending Tragedy. Shot last week with updates, insights and exclusive interviews and produced by TMZ (4 Stars). And don’t forget my suggestions earlier this week, Manifest on Netflix, 4 seasons (4 Stars).
