Report for Friday, Sept 30th

Sad Nugget: Now even Britney Spears husband Sam is insisting Britney get some help w/her out of control behavior even if forced to. Sounds like a conservatorship to me.

5 Movie Reviews: The Greatest Beer Run Ever, would have been better done as a 5 minute human interest news story but not a 2 hour movie.  Zac Efron, Russell Crowe and Bill Murray are mediocre at best. In 1967, some New York draftees are sent to Vietnam and while saying their goodbyes at a bar, the bar tender decides to sneak in Vietnam to bring them beers. True story, but not worth 2 hours (Rated R) – (2 Hours) – (1 ½ Stars). … Next, The Good House. A little comedy, a little drama, and a lot of heart that stars Sigourney Weaver and Kevin Kline as High School sweethearts who rekindle their love. Their great chemistry makes this one of my favorite movies of the year (Rated R) – (2 Hours) – (3 Stars). … Smile, is a horror mystery starring Sosie Bacon and Jessie T. Usher. A very different thriller with a little humor sprinkled in. Less bloody bodies and more shocks and trauma. In this case, a smile is nothing to laugh about (Rated R) – (2 Hours) – (3 Stars). … And finally, Bros. Billy Eichner and Luke Macfarlane star in this over the top, extremely hilarious film about gay love and the difference it is from straight love! And don’t mess with those lesbians! It’s raw, it’s unique, it’s frank and in your face, it is brilliant (Rated R) – (2 Hours) – (3 ½ Stars). … And F.Y.I. BLONDE is now on Netflix and it gets 0 stars, let me say that again, 0 Stars.

Movie News: Whoopi Goldberg is pressing hard for a Sisters Act 3, but the studios are pushing back even harder, Surveys show, there’s just no interest. … Theaters expecting strong sales with the re-release Whitney Houston’s film, The Bodyguard, and they are expecting an even bigger response when they release Whitney Houston’s bio, I Wanna Dance with Somebody, that comes out Christmas. However Tina Turner and Aretha Franklin’s biopics were bombs, but I expect bigger for Whitney!
