Report for Friday, Sept 23rd

Today’s report originates from Washington D.C.

Movie Review: Let’s get the stinker out of the way. Don’t Worry Darling, is called a mystery and a thriller. The biggest mystery is how this thing ever got made. And you will only be thrilled when it ends! It’s about Victory, a self contained community in the 1950’s where all the men work at this secret project to make the world better, and the wives live in a made up utopia. But there is trouble in paradise. Florence Pugh is the only good thing about this movie, she sparkles. Harry Styles is hideous, can’t act a lick. It tries to be on the cutting edge, but it’s more of cutting the cheese, It just really stinks. The only good thing about it was that it was shot in Palm Springs! (Rated R) – (2 Hours) – (1 Star). … Now some great news. The American Dream and Other Fairy Tales, is a fabulous documentary written, produced and hosted by Abagail Disney, who is the grand daughter of Roy Disney and the grand niece of Walt Disney. Abagail exposes what I’ve been saying for 20 years, Disneyland is a horrible company that keeps their employees in poverty and horrible working conditions while management grows rich. I don’t always agree with Abagail, but this is a true, great movie (4 Stars). … Coming Thanksgiving, the movie, Moving On. A dark, hilarious comedy starring old friends, Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin who are re-united at a friends funeral where they plan to murder the widower of their friend who just died. Turns out the dude sexually assaulted Jane’s character 50 years earlier and the girls are bent on revenge (3 Stars).

TV 12 Month Ratings: #1 NBC, #2 CBS, #3 FOX and #4 ABC. The Super Bowl and Olympics put NBC over the top. CBS barely beat FOX thanks to the summer long reality show, Big Brother.

Odds and Ends: A change of lifestyles, more and more people in Los Angeles are insisting on working at home and at the same time there is a shortage of housing. So a huge number of office buildings are now being turned into apartments.

Back live in studio Monday, have a great weekend!
