Welcome to September 20th, a memorable day for me, my birthday! Dinner at the Capital Grill with the long suffering wife Cheryl. Can’t wait!

Love Nugget: Just for the record, Gisele Bündchen was not at Tom’s game on Sunday in New Orleans. There’s a lot more to this story that I’ll hopefully have tomorrow.

TV News: Pat Sajak will announce his retirement from Wheel of Fortune this year! And speaking of Pat, he was drafted into the Army and sent to Vietnam where he served as a disc jockey, and there are some people in Hollywood that swear Robin Williams’s Good Morning Vietnam was at least partially based on Pat Sajak, who is a great guy! … You can take it to the bank the Oscar Television telecast will be unrecognizable next year, it’ll be shorter, fewer awards, less music, stream-lined. Well it’s about time.

Movie News; A new Karate Kid movie is coming in June 2024. Haven’t we had enough. … And speaking of beating a dead horses, Tom Hanks has green lighted and is excited that League of Their Own is coming back as a TV series. Doubt it will be as big as the film. 

Odds and Ends: Bridget Fonda was voted 1 of the 5 Hottest women in Hollywood in 2000, then she just retired and left the business. She was photographed last week for only the second time in the past 13 years. How do I put this, she appears very unkempt, extremely sloppy and is about 100 pounds over weight. Interesting, Bridget has been married for over 20 years to Oingo Boingo leader and Oscar winner composer, Danny Elfman and they have one child. Back in the old days when Danny was just getting started he would hang out at KROQ. Back then, Danny was very different, shy and aloof, albeit a very nice guy. … The Hollywood Sign is turning 100 years old and is under going a face lift. It will include 400 gallons of paint, and for the first time, colored lights that will reflect special occasions. For the record, every letter is 45 feet high and 36 feet across, but still hard to get up there. … And how about that Kanye West comparing himself to Moses, can’t make stuff this up!
