Report for Thursday, Aug 4th

First things first, MLB paid tribute to Vin Scully last night by 60 seconds of silence. I feel honored, privileged and it was one of the highlights of my life calling Vin a friend.

On a lighter note, I laughed out loud yesterday when the, “story broke,” that Johnny Depp gave Ellen Barkin Quaalude before having sex. What makes that so funny is that in the 90’s the word was, Depp made every woman take Quaalude before sex. Duh. And F.Y.I. the Depp/Jeff Beck album isn’t bad, it’s hideous. Even with 78 year old Jeff Beck’s great guitar playing, every song is brutal. You need a Quaalude just to listen to it. … More music, Willow Smith, Will’s daughter, is the opening act for Machine Gun Kelly and she is really good. I predict big things for her. … More music, regarding Bruce Springsteen’s concert tickets costing up to $5,000, I’ve seen the Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, The Beatles, The Eagles, The Rolling Stones, Queen, Led Zeppelin, The Who, The Dead, and oh yes, The Boss and for me Bruce was the longest in length but not as good as the others I mentioned and certainly not worth $5000, but that’s just me.

TV News: Rhino 75 Blast, 3 Vertical Greyhound, one of Tom Brady’s favorite calls, which brings me to tonight. The first NFL pre-season game will be televised on NBC, Jacksonville versus Las Vegas Raiders. … Elizabeth Moss, the star of the fabulous Handmaid’s Tale has signed to star on Hulu’s super thriller, The Veil. From Steven Knight the creator of Peaky Blinders, this is about two women who travel through Europe and playing a dead man’s game of Truth and Lies. Knight promises this will be the bigger hit than Blinders. Coming September on Hulu.

Where are they now department. Remember Dr. Conrad Murray? Found guilty of involuntary manslaughter of Michael Jackson, did two year in prison of a four year sentence. Well Conrad is now living in Bimini in the Caribbean has built a heart care center for heart patients and is making a lot of money. And life goes on.
