Report for Friday, May 6th

Love Nugget: On Valentines Day I told you it’s a done deal, Simon Cowell (62) and Lauren Silverman (44) would be married before the end of the year. They have a 9 year old son, Eric, and yesterday Simon confirmed they would have a June wedding.

Movie Review Friday: Only one big movie out today, the long awaited, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Fabulous effects and I love the flashbacks to the 1970’s! There’s plenty of adventure, horror and thrills, although it’s sometimes a little confusing! But first and foremost, it’s a comic book movie from Marvel with great acting, Benedict Cumberbatch, Benedict Wong, Elizabeth Olsen and Rachel McAdams (Rated PG-13) – (2 Hours) – (3 Stars).

Movie News: Mike Myers is pulling all stops to get New Line and Warner Brothers to green light Austin Powers 4. Don’t be surprised if it gets the green light. … Hottest talk is, Babylon. Based on true events in 1930’s Hollywood, with all the drugs, adultery, debauchery, nudity, crime and obscene behavior! Leonardo DiCaprio and Brad Pitt both read for the lead multiple times, but Brad got the part. It also stars Margot Robbie, Olivia Wilde, Jean Smart, Tobey Maguire, Flea and many others. Christmas Day release.

Odds and Ends: While TV channel surfing I heard Joy Behar on The View blaming Trump for the Dave Chappelle attack and blaming Trump for Will Smith slapping Chris Rock. I mean love Trump or hate Trump, how does Trump get blamed for that? That’s nuts! … For years I’ve told you about Phil Mickelson’s horrendous gambling habits and how Callaway paid off millions of his gambling debts in return for him playing their equipment. Well a published story in the post today reports Mickelson lost over $40 million in 4 years. I’ve had run in’s with Michelson, and he’s a real jerk. … Amber Heard went on and on yesterday about Depp’s abuse. If the jury believes any of her story, Depp will lose this case. However a lot of it came across to me as over acting. … Reminds me of the New York Post headline today screamed, “Jekyll and Heard.”
