Question, well who the hell did? … HBO’s Los Angeles Lakers Drama series is going full steam ahead, it is entitled, Showtime: Magic, Kareem, Riley, and the Los Angeles Lakers Dynasty of the 1980s. Starring Adrien Brody, Michael Chiklis, Jason Segel, Michael Shannon, John C. Reilly, Sally Field and others. The mini-series will debut in March. I covered the Lakers back then and remember the press conference announcing Kareem and Magic joining the Lakers. I can’t wait, they’ll be one hour segments but we don’t know how many episodes yet. Sounds great.

Odds and Ends: Several security firms have been hired by a couple high end stores to have armed guards at doors, with guns who would open fire on a mob smash and grab attack with rubber bullets. That would stop them in their tracks but not be fatal.
