Report for Tuesday, Sept 28th

Old Criminal Business: As predicted here 24 hours ago, I said R. Kelly would be found guilty today on all counts of racketeering and trafficking minor boys and girls for sex. He was found guilty on all counts with special circumstances and faces life. Remember he has three more trials and if found guilty on all those, he faces an additional 284 years. … I don’t know call me old fashion, but if a person buys a gun and plans to shoot and kill a leader of this country like Robert Kennedy or Ronald Reagan, seems to me they should spend the rest of their life locked up. But Sirhan Sirhan and Hinckley are going free.

NPR Reports: Shocking stat, murder is up 30% from last year in the United States. Underrepresented! Researchers contribute it to de-funding the police movement. In Los Angeles, Chicago, New York and Philadelphia last week, there were 108 people shot. Crime is running rampant. F.Y.I. three were police shootings, all self defense and another 27 arrests for assault at NFL Football games and 16 at college football games.

Odds and Ends: For the second time this year a police report has been filed against Michael Jordan’s son, 32 year old Jeff for assault. First accused of assaulting a bartender, then a hospital worker. … Nicolas Cage has been escorted from a half dozen bars over the last year and while he was once worth $250 million, now he will have to sell off of 4 estates including a fixer-upper, broken down castle in Germany, 22 cars, 6 yachts, 9 wild zoo animals and an over grown island he hasn’t seen in years just to avoid bankruptcy. Again, booze. One more note, Nick’s brother, Marc Coppola, a jock in San Diego says he never talks to Nick, he’s never forgiven him for being mean mean to their mother. Need I say more? … On a lighter note, I told you a couple weeks ago that Will Smith and Jada would be getting a divorce soon, yesterday Will admitted they have had an open marriage for years, saying, “Being with just one person is like being in prison.”
