Movie Review Friday: F9 is the latest in the Fast and Furious franchise. I’ve never been a huge fan and this film is just same old, same old, been there done that, just a big money grab for Vin Diesel! The jokes aren’t funny and the effects are boring! (Rated PG-13) – (2 ½ Hours) – (1 Star) the only positive thing, at least the theater has air conditioning.
Speaking of Vin Diesel, he is one of the biggest jerks in Hollywood, while Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is one of the nicest guys in Hollywood and here’s some scoop, “The Rock” hates Vin Diesel and he isn’t hiding it anymore! I can say no more, it is what it is.
TV Review: Last night on ABC Helen Mirren hosted When Nature Calls. This could have been a really great show. Beautiful footage of animals in the wild, the hook was the dubbing words into the mouths of the animals. But the writing is corny and not funny. So bad it could have been written by the idiots who write for America’s Funniest Videos. … Oh yeah, I saw a teaser of Lifetime’s Harry and Meghan escaping the Palace and it is the most ridiculous, absurd thing I’ve ever seen! I’ll leave it at that.
Odds and Ends: Is It True the Los Angeles District Attorney and Federal Civil Rights authorities are going to open a criminal investigation regarding the way Britney Spears has been treated. … The British Government says beginning in 2023 they will start arresting advertisers who push junk food. Gee, and I thought they were a free country, like us. No comment. … Saw a picture of Heather Locklear coming out of a subway sandwich place this week and it was shocking. No make-up, has gained at least 25 pounds, unrecognizable. … Tough weekend for Tax evaders, Courtney Love who owes $642,965, Terrence Howard who owes $388,764 and Steven Seagal who owes $364,245 ba are all meeting with attorneys. … Forget cicadas, hundred of millions of grasshoppers have invaded 17 states and among other things, are eating the food supply of cattle, could effect beef availability. Speaking of bugs, Zac Efron’s hobby is being a bee keeper, has 500,000 bees.
