Love Nugget: Publicist say the happiest Hollywood couple is John Krasinski and Emily Blunt. While joking about their relationship, Emily says she still has a crush on Leonardo DiCaprio, John say’s that’s okay, he still has a crush on Jennifer Aniston.
Movie Review Friday: From the same people that gave us Crazy Rich Asians and Hamilton, now give us, In the Heights. A hip, creative, fun filled musical that focuses on a Bronx neighborhood when a local kid from the hood hits a $96,000 lottery and the whole hood celebrates. Not without their problems, however, nothing beats some good luck, love, friendship, singing and dancing. This movie is great story telling and I usually don’t like movies over 2 hours but this is 2 hours 23 minutes of fun (4 Stars).
Next is Peter Rabbit 2: The Runaway. A live action family film. PG rated that the kids will absolutely love and the adults will like well enough. Make no mistake, this is not Toy Story, but very entertaining and I love it, take the whole family. Directed, written and produced by Will Gluck, should do good box office (3 ½ Stars).
Now the bad news, The Misfits is called mystery, thriller and action. It’s more a horrible, ridiculous and farce. Starring Pierce Brosnan and Tim Roth who embarrass themselves but not as much as Nick Cannon, who proves he can’t act a lick. This movie is beyond hideous. 1 hour and 32 minutes of pure hell (0 Stars). My book Imposters would be 1000% better movie!
Odds and Ends: Serena Williams says her 3 year old daughter Olympia is a better tennis player now that she was when she was 3 and mother and daughter play everyday. … MacGruber was a hilarious re-occurring skit on Saturday Night Live and now it will be a mini-series starring Kristen Wiig, Ryan Phillippe, Sam Elliott, Laurence Fishburne and Mickey Rourke. … This is odd, the Disney movie Cruella bombed at the box office but the soundtrack is in the Top 10 in sales. But this is nothing new, Let It Go from Frozen sold $300 million.
