Last day from Boston and Provencetown, Massachusetts and it’s been a great time and I’ll be back live on Monday.
Movie Review Friday: First Angelina Jolie’s strong, Those Who Wish Me Dead. Opening everywhere and HBO Max. But again this really needs to be seen on big screen. Also, opening today The Mitchells vs. the Machines. This animated delight is creative, fun and a surprise at every turn. The daughter is headed to film school, but all heck breaks loose when computers and all electric devises takes over, and that means war with the Mitchell family is on the front line, leading the attack and winning! Again, very creative and full of surprises (Rated PG) – (109 Minutes) – (3 Stars). … And starting today, Amazon Prime’s new series, The Underground Railroad, debuts. This is hard to watch. Violent but all documented and must see TV (4 Stars).
TV News: Highest rated daytime show in the last 6 weeks was Judge Judy. … It’s not the first time American Idol have peed on themselves, but this year’s blunder is ridiculous! I mean don’t they vet any of the contestants? Truth is, 15 year old racist, Caleb Kennedy, made no secret at his home in Roebuck, South Carolina that he was an active member of the Ku Klux Klan, even with video’s. Again, who goofed I got to know.
Tom Hanks will devote the majority of his time to producing rather than acting, and much more time to television. Tom has signed to produce a six part mini series called, Sammy, the story of Sammy Davis Jr. A four part mini-series called, Lizzie Borden the ax-murderer. A four part mini series called, Jack Johnson, the first black heavyweight champion. And a TV movie entitled, Gorbachev. And Tom is in post production which in the feature he stars in called, Finch. It’s described as, a post apocalyptic earth and a robot built to protect the life of his creator’s beloved dog and learns about life, love, friendship and what it means to be human. How strange does that sound?
