Before getting into the Golden Globes, TV and movie reviews, some real estate news, LBGTQ News, I’m thrilled in just a few hours I’m getting my second vaccine shot, and baring any bad reaction, I’m going to get on a plane for the first time in a year next week.
Only new movie worth a review today is an old favorite, Tom and Jerry. A slick, entertaining live-action film that has Tom being hired at a high end hotel to get rid of that nasty rodent, Jerry. Family fun. Theaters and HBO Max (Rated PG) – (3 Stars).
Golden Globes are Sunday and my picks to win Best Picture Drama is a toss-up between Trial of Chicago 7 and Nomadland. I’ve had a couple listeners write and complain they thought Nomadland was boring. Sorry, if I had a vote, it would be for Nomadland. Best Picture Comedy, Borat. Best TV Drama Series, Crown. Best TV Comedy, Ted Lasso. … Two great movies streaming this weekend, Promising Young Woman on Netflix starring Carey Mulligan who I predict will win Best Actress Golden Globe (4 Stars). … And the U.S. vs Billie Holiday is now streaming on Hulu (3 Stars).
