Report for Friday, Jan 15th

Love Nuggets: Kelly Clarkson is finally speaking out about her 7 year marriage to Brandon Blackstock, she says there were only two bright spots, a son and a daughter. However, Kelly is so anxious to get the marriage behind her and that’s the reason she’s dropped the price of their house a million dollars just to get out and start a new.

Funny Story: Katy Perry and husband Orlando Bloom say they have had only one serious argument, the name of their daughter. Katy was set on Daisy Dove and Orlando was demanding Fiona Faith. Predictably, their daughter is named Daisy Dove Bloom.

Two great movies debut on demand today. The first and best, maybe best picture of the year, News of the World, a western starring Tom Hanks. The movie is set at the end of the Civil War and Hanks, a loner finds a young girl who’s been separated  from her family and makes it his duty to get her back to her family. But at every turn there are problems! Defiantly Oscar bound. Tom Hanks at his very best (4 Stars). … The other film strangely enough involves another big star, Liam Neeson, trying to return a young boy to his family but in current day, all while being chased by a brutal Mexican cartel. Not as good as News of the World, but I still loved it (3 Stars).

Movie News: The much anticipated Many Saints of Newark, the prequel to the Soprano’s starring John Gandolfini’s son, Michael as the young Tony Soprano has finally finished shooting and has a release date of September 24th, 2021.

Odds and Ends: The W.H.O. has released new stats that are eye opening. We’ve always known exercising was good but their new extended research now shows that exercising everyday for an hour, cuts your chances of a heart attack by over 55%. That’s amazing.

Last week I was 3 for 3 on my NFL picks, let’s see how bad I can stink it up this week. Picking Kansas City, Buffalo, New Orleans and Green Bay.
