Jerk Department, I was not surprised Bruce Willis had to be asked to leave a Rite Aid for refusing to wear a mask. Bruce Willis has always been one of the biggest jerks in Hollywood. A few weeks ago I heard he refused to wear a mask at a Starbucks in Malibu and at a Trader Joes in W Hollywood but they let him slide. Jerk, party of one.
Hollywood is torn about the movie, Being the Ricardos. The story of their parents, Desi Arnaz and Lucille Ball. Some insiders say this is a bomb waiting to happen, but the writer/director Aaron Sorkin says it will be huge. Sorkin’s track record includes Trial of The Chicago 7, West Wing, A Few Good Men, Social Network and many others. By the way Nicole Kidman will play Lucille Ball, Jarvier Bardem will play Desi Arnez.
Odds and Ends: I had to see my doctor yesterday, nothing serious, and when I asked about the vaccine he went on a rant saying it’s the most bizarre thing he’s seen in 40 years. Doctor pointed out every vaccine like the flu for example, drug stores, doctors offices got the vaccine, no problem. With this vaccine they say there are millions available but for some unknown reason they are not being sent out. What the hell? … Most ridiculous quote of the month from 23 year old billion dollar hot model Kylie Jenner who said she is so bored, she is seeking counseling. 23, billionaire, beauty, really?
Documentary News: There is talk of a documentary about the Abbey Road studios that will be written and produced by Paul McCartney’s daughter, Mary. However, if you want to do a documentary about a studio, it should be about Goldstar Studios in Hollywood. Phil Spector recorded all his groups while building his Wall of Sound. I remember Spector, high as a kite, firing guns into the ceiling. It was nuts. I was there when I was 16 when Sonny and Cher did, I got you Babe. Other artists who recorded there, The Who, The Beach Boys, The Go Go’s, Bob Dylan, John Lennon, The Monkees and many others.
