Sad Love Nugget: Robert Redford has lost two children, the last was his son James who passed from cancer a couple months ago. But you should know Redford reaches out to other parents who have lost a child with calls and letters of condolences.
Got lots of TV news starting off with a Netflix Review, Deaf U. I love this show, it’s about some deaf college students and follows romance, relationships and obstacles they face. Funny, well done, and thought provoking (3 Stars). … Also on Netflix next month, Hillbilly Elegy. A drama filled movie about three generations. A grandma played by Glenn Close, a Rx addict mom played by Amy Adams and a grandson who lives through it all. Fabulous film. … Coming in December on Apple TV is a great series called, Truth Be Told, starring Aaron Paul, Octavia Spencer and Kate Hudson. Octavia plays a reporter who wrote bias stories that may have sent an innocent man to prison for murder. With second thoughts, things get dicey.
Coming to Amazon Prime on December 11th, a great movie called, I’M YOUR WOMAN. Rachel Brosnahan plays the wife of a criminal who betrays his criminal partners and they want him dead. He’s on the run and she along with her baby finds his enemies are out to kill her too and she is forced to run for her life as well. Fabulous.
Odds and Ends: The Bruce Willis Die Hard battery commercials could have been clever, provocative and entertaining. Instead they are just, what I call., ahh lame. … I hope Ryan Seacrest is okay, he has basically disappeared and his PR people are saying he’s waiting for a Covid test, which results for rich celebs take five minutes. He’s been gone three days, and remember the talk Ryan had a mini stroke a while back. … You can’t make this up. Kim Kardashian told David Letterman during his special that her crystal clean reputation was destroyed because she had a meeting with Trump. What about making sex tapes? Was that part of her crystal clean reputation?
