Report for Friday, Sept 4th

Love Nugget: Jennifer Lawrence and husband Cooke Maroney have quietly put their New York home up for sale. Reason, Jennifer says she’s afraid to go outside.

It’s Movie Review Friday and my favorite this week, in fact my favorite of the month is, Critical Thinking. I love true stories and I love feel good movies and this film is full of both. In 1998, the County Jackson High School in Miami was infested with drugs and violence. While four students are fighting, a teacher gets them interested in Chess. These latino and black students fight odds, bad homes, gangs, but they beat them all! Don’t want to spoil it, but these inner students beat million to one odds and make it all the way to the National Chess Championships. John Leguizamo stars and directs this great movie. (Rated R) – (4 Stars).

The 25th 007 movie, No Time to Die, will be released on November 12th, and I hear it is the best of the franchise.

TV News: Here’s the scoop, Marie Osmond didn’t leave The Talk to pursue other opportunities. She left because she hated the co-host. … Carol Burnett grew up with abusive alcoholic parents, then a bad marriage that ended in a bad divorce, has had countless health issues, a drug addicted daughter who died, and now 87 year old Carol Burnett has been granted custody of her 14 year old grandson because his mother, Carol’s youngest daughter Erin, is addicted to drugs. Very sad

Odds and Ends: It was music to millions of Angelino’s for 61 years when that golden voice would beam, “It’s time for Dodger baseball!” But starting next week the great 93 year old Vin Scully will be on Twitter, talking about baseball and much more, but nothing controversial. So get ready for some social media. … Hair today, gone tomorrow. While a lot of stars lose their hair, only these folks have spent millions and even tried experimental trials to regrow hair and they are Jamie Foxx, Billy Bob Thornton, Jeremy Piven, Machine Gun Kelly and Elton John.

What are you doing for Labor Day?
