Report for Wednesday, Aug 5th

Love Nugget: That long time rumor that Will Smith had an affair with Margot Robbie is getting much louder. While Margot does not confirm it, she won’t deny it. … Saddest news, Val Kilmer’s fight against throat cancer is serious, keep him in your prayers.

Biggest News Story: Thousands of New Yorkers are putting together a huge class action suit against N.Y. Governor Cuomo. These are relatives of old folks who were diagnosed with Coronavirus that Cuomo ordered back into nursing homes that infected thousands more, resulting in 6,421 elderly deaths in the N.Y. nursing homes.

On a much lighter note, an update on what some celebrities are doing to get through the Coronavirus. Voted the best in shape male workout celebrity, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and voted the best in shape female workout celeb, Halle Berry. Other stars who workout for hours everyday, Rihanna, Tim McGraw, Mark Wahlberg and Pink. Hollywood’s biggest bike riders, ride at least 10 miles a day are Russell Crowe, Conan O’Brien and George Clooney. Golfers are Matt Damon and Joe Pesci. Big hikers are Reese Witherspoon and Kendall Jenner.

Talked to Nicolas Cage’s agent recently and Nick continues to go after the weirdest projects. There’s Jiu Jitsu, a Sci-fi film where Nick plays a martial arts expert from the future. Next, Pig, where Nick plays a Truffle hunter living in the wilderness but has to go into civilization in search for his kidnapped pet pig and this is being billed as a Thriller. Next, Wally’s Wonderland, where Nick is drifter who is tricked into becoming the janitor of the defunct Wally’s Wonderland that is possessed by evil spirits and the devil. This also a thriller. After that Nick plays Joe Exotic, the Tiger King in a 10 episode Netflix series. Finally, Nick will star in the movie remake of The Courtship of Eddie’s Father. Nic’s spent his entire career picking odd projects and very few are hits.

And 80% of the movie theaters will open by the end of the month, most with limited seating and I still say go see Russell Crowe in Unhinged. And F.Y.I. Aretha Franklin biopic, Respect will open on Martin Luther King Day.
