Report for Wednesday, July 15th

Love Nugget: David Beckham’s son, Brooklyn is marrying Nicola Peltz, daughter of Billionaire Nelson Peltz. The bride comes from a weird family, her cousin Doris Duke, was the richest woman in the world in 1980 and living in Hawaii and known for her bizarre behavior like the huge birthday party she had for her pet llamas and turtles, $10,000 bottles of wine balloons clowns+everybody had to wear these really goofy hats. I know, I was there! Sorry you missed it.

Court News: Ms. Maxwell, Epstein’s accomplice, was in court via video yesterday and pleaded not guilty, said she didn’t do anything wrong. Right! Oh yea, bail denied. … Bryshere Gray, Jussie Smollet’s best friend and co-star of Empire was scheduled to be Smollet’s character witness when his trial begin however Gray is currently in jail, being charged with beating, choking and knocking his wife unconscious and holding her prisoner. Doesn’t sound like a good character witness to me.

Coronavirus News: England re-opened everything early and now health experts there are predicting there could be 125,000 more deaths before the New Year. Hope not. … Meanwhile, California Governor Gavin Newsom has ordered everything, I mean everything, to shut down but Orange County residents have voted to open the schools and they plan to ask Trump to override the Governor’s order. Can he do that? How’s that going to work?

Odds and Ends: There is a movement to take the TV show The Office off the air because it is not politically correct. The Office? Really? What the hell? … Prediction, the battle of the diva’s biopics won’t be much of a battle. Aretha Franklin’s biopic -versus the Whitney Houston’s biopic. Aretha’s Respect is in Post production, Whitney’s in pre-production. Aretha’s is a celebration, Whitney’s a tragedy. … This is odd, Jane Fonda bought out the entire first class cabin of a plane, wore goggles, face shield, mask, demanded to board last and disembark first and refused to talk to crew.

TV: It’s old, been around for years, but recommend Doc Martin on Hulu for a great, quirky comedy worth binging. 5 hilarious seasons.
