Biggest female celebrity jerk is Lea Michele. Now a spokes person for a cosmetic brand, Madison Avenue says she’s the most difficult person they’ve ever worked with, even walking out during an interview she was being paid $250,000 to do. A friend I play golf with was the stage manager for Glee and for years has told me stories about Michele. When she had a five minute call, she wouldn’t come out of her dressing room for hours! He said over 35 years in the business, she was the worst. Studio executives agree, nobody will hire her for a TV series or movie, just the occasional cartoon voice overs. Managers, producers, directors, agents all says she’s the biggest maintenance problem.
I have two TV series to review. First, starting tonight on Netflix is Lenox Hill, a docu-series that follows four doctors at New York’s Lenox Hill Hospital, from gunshot wounds to Coronavirus with personal stories of the patients as well as following the doctors between cases (3 Stars).
Next is Love, Victor on Hulu that debuts June 15th. This is a spin-off of Love, Simon, the first gay teen romance released by a major studio. Victor and his family move from Texas to Atlanta and the young teenager has mixed emotions about his sexuality despite seeing the most popular girl in school. But his curiosity and natural feelings draw him to a boy in school. Confusion, judging and turmoil take over. 8 Episodes (3 Stars).
