Coverage of the Oscars

Pop Quiz: With Leonardo DiCaprio winning his first Oscar after 5 rejections, name the actor who has been nominated the most times and never won. Is it Peter O’Toole, Deborah Kerr, Richard Burton or Amy Adams?

Red Carpet Highlight: Olivia Wilde was wild in her white cutaway, Charlize was amazing in red, and Alicia Vikander was gorgeous in her Yellow Dior.

Chris Rock’s opening monologue was a B as was the rest of his hosting, average. The whole show was just average. My Pick 6, Got 4 out of 6, everybody missed Sylvester Stallone, as for Spotlight beating Revenant for best picture, no problem, Hollywood likes to make political statements.

Biggest Post Oscar Party was Elton John’s every major star in Hollywood was there, even bigger than the Governor’s Ball. At Madonna’s party, Lindsey Lohan and Sean Penn.

Oscar Nuggets: There were a whole bunch of odd things you could bet on at Betsson’s Sports book, including what color Gaga’s hair would be, whether or not Leonardo would have facial hair, when they run the people that died last year, who would be the last mentioned, Leonard Nimoy was the favorite, 2-1, and if Sylvester Stallone won whether or not he would raise both arms up like Rocky.. The real owner of every Oscar is, Motion Picture Academy of Arts and Sciences. If you win one you can take it home, however, if you want to sell it, you must sell it back to Academy for 10 bucks, sell it to anybody else, and the Academy will take you to court. Everybody signed that agreement before the show last night.

Answer – Amy Adams 5 times, Deborah Kerr 6 times, Richard Burton 7 times but Peter O’Toole was nominated 8 times and never won.
