Report for Tuesday, Sept 12th

Scoop is if the Writers/SAG strike settles at all, it won’t happen till next year! How sad!

TV News: There was a day the MTV Video Music Awards was must see TV. I mean, Madonna kissing Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera, and speaking of kisses
who can forget Michael Jackson’s spit swapping with Lisa Marie Presley? Or Kanye West taking the microphone away from Taylor Swift when she was accepting the award for Best Female Video and saying Beyonce deserved the award instead of her? But those days are gone! The MTV Awards are on tonight but who cares?

Could be the movie of the year, Knox Goes Away. Directed and staring Michael Keaton who plays a contract hit man, diagnosed with fast moving dementia. Keaton’s character is dying and fighting the clock to save his son from a murder charge. It’s thrilling, heart breaking and suspenseful. This is a really great movie! And it also stars Al Pacino, Marcia Gay Harden, James Marsden and others. Coming soon to theaters.

The biggest celebrity sports fan has got to be Matthew McConaughey. A week ago last Saturday on September 2nd, Matthew was in Austin on the sidelines of the Texas versus Rice game. Then on Thursday, September 7th Mathew was in Kansas City to see the Chiefs versus Detroit NFL game. The next day, September 8th he was in New York watching the US Open. The very next day on Saturday the 9th, he was sidelines in Tuscaloosa watching Alabama Crimson Tide versus Texas Longhorns. Then on Sunday afternoon he was back in New York watching the US Open. Then just hours later he drove through the Lincoln Tunnel to East Rutherford New Jersey’s MetLife Stadium to catch the Dallas Cowboys and New York Giants! And last night he was back at the same MetLife Stadium watching the Jets versus Bills Monday night football game. That’s what I call a huge sports fan, must be nice.

Creative names of businesses I’ve seen. A Barber shop called, Jack the Clipper, a beauty salon called, Curl Up and Dye, And a flower shop called, Florist Gump!
