First things first, the passing of Billy Graham. When I was 16, and working my first radio job, I was assigned to cover a week long Billy Graham crusade, at the Los Angeles Coliseum. 100,000 people attended every night. I watched him and met with him after each preaching. What a great man. I have met Presidents, countless stars and other famous people, but there were only 3 people I’ve met that I was in total awe of and they are, first man on the Moon, Neil Armstrong, Muhammad Ali and Billy Graham. May he rest in peace. Yeah, Kartrashians, George Clooney and the other clowns are nothing burgers.
Odds and Ends: NBC’s coverage of the current Olympics are being called the worst ever. Wrong medal counts, coverage of 2 day old events, wrong names, standings, and other information, and rating are way down. No suprise. … You heard the story that Jennifer Lawrence is taking a year off to talk politics but not true. She has a couple months of post production in X-Men: Dark Phoenix. She’s scheduled to star production with best friend Amy Shumer for Searchlight. And committed to Director Ron Howard for the biopic playing, Zelda Fitzgerald, the novelist, Jazz socialite and wife of F. Scott Fitzgerald. And she’s promised James Cameron to star in his new film, The Dive. Sounds like she’ll be busy. … There’s another reality show coming to CBS, it’s called TKO, Mark Burnett produces this competition show that is being called very physical and funny and will debut this Summer. I hear it’s the best reality show ever.
