TV Review: A great six part mini series is coming Thursday to the CMT Cable network, called Sun Records. It’s how the beginning of rock-roll history began. It is fabulous! The series focuses on Sun Record’s bossman, Sam Phillips in Memphis and how he signed and worked his magic with radio play. He met and signed such people as Ike Turner, Carl Perkins, Jerry Lee Lewis, Johnny Cash, a guy named Elvis and many others, and all their stories are told! Billy Gardell, from Mike and Molly, is fabulous as Elvis manager, Col. Tom Parker. Thursday, CMT Cable Network (4 Stars).
