3 Movie Reviews – The best of the bunch is Disney Nature’s, BEARS. It’s a fabulous true documentary about the life of a family of 4 bears over the coarse of a year in Alaska. The cubs are taught everything from protecting themselves to playing to hunting. It doesn’t get better than this. It is RATED G – ONE Hr 18 MINS – 4 STARS. Second best is, Heaven is Real with Greg Kinner. This is another true story. It’s about a young boy who dies, but is brought back to life but not before he saw heaven and shocks everybody with what he saw there. It is RATED PG – 1 HR 40 MINS – 3 STARS. Next, there’s Johnny Depps, Transcending. His last film was the Lone Ranger which was a huge flop. I actually liked Lone Ranger better than Transcending. The idea is good, and the first act is strong, but then it just wonders around aimlessly! It is RATED PG-13 – 2 HRS. I think Depp has his 2nd bomb in a row – 1 ½ STARS.
Movie News – There’s going to be a Mrs. Doubtfire sequel with Robin Williams. Paramount Studios are having several parties this weekend to introduce their new boss lady Bill Clinton’s former Press Secretary, Dee Dee Williams, and to start a very early push to get Oscar buzz for Noah.
Odds and ends – Valerie Harper was given 3 to 6 months to live – 8 months ago. Valerie is still with us and looking pretty good. Good for her!
Answer – Leo just last month bought a 5.2 million dollar mansion in Palm Springs. For the record, all the others also own homes in Palm Springs.
